I have to say: it is so amazing! Love it very much!
I chose the yellow one, and it is so pretty and bright;
Fits right in hand;
Easy to use, just took me several seconds to read the instructions and then opened a can in seconds. No sharp edges! easy to reseal!
The important thing is that it is safe for kids. Because there is no sharp blade.
Highly recommend!!!
Updated (02/11/10):
I remembered that someone, who owned another model, said that it would not work for the cans of tuna, salmon, chicken, etc. I tried mine on several cans of tuna, no any problem. This model did a wonderful job!
Love love love it!
BTW, it is made in China.
I wish it can last lifetime.

(More customer reviews)These mitts are nicely made with good materials, easy to slip on and likely won't show the dirt and wear as quickly as more decorative mitts. It takes a bit of practice to gain control over gripping, as the protective pads are not at the gripping edge and tend to get in the way. It is a bit like trying to pick up a dime with a pillow. That said, they are very good at protecting from heat when diving into an oven or over a hot surface, especially to pick up something heavy. For getting to a hot handle that requires finer control, a second pot holder or mitt would be a good idea. Overall, very pleased with this choice.

What else can you ask for?
P.S. All Kuhn Rikon's safety lid lifters, I believe, have the same mechanism. Some might be more expensive than the others, but they work the same way. My mom-in-law got a different design in TJ Maxx for 40% off.

It took me about the same time to cook the beef stew using a regular pot( Anolon Nonstick pot).
There is no big difference between the regular pot and this pot, but the price is a big difference.

(More customer reviews)But usable. It's different in the fact that it's very small and as an American I am pretty much accustomed to the peelers that are turned to the side. This one zips right down the vegetable so you better be really careful with the edges of your palms. It's smaller than it appears and it's plastic, kind've hard to get a good grip on it but like I said, it's different. Doesn't mean it's bad. Hopefully it will last a while. :)

(More customer reviews)This paring knife is the prettiest thing I have ever seen. Available in 6 attractive colors. The knife's non-stick surface coating is such a clever idea. Why they have not think of it before? The coating helps to make the blade glide with less effort. It seems that the blade is super sharp because of this. Perfect size for peeling fruits.
It comes with its own sheath that is very useful when you bring the knife with you. Kuhn Rikon is a Switzerland brand, the knife is made in China. At a very affordable price of 10$, this is my favorite knife that I bring at work.

Kuhn Rikon Magnetic Trivet, Large Review

(More customer reviews)This is a great idea with a chic, modern look. I like that you can flip the round red pieces around to give you two sizes of trivet. Kuhn Rikon always makes solid, well built products, so I expect this to last a life time. The magnets are fairly strong and have stuck well to my pots/pans. It is nice to have the trivet move with your item. However, you much remember to remove it if sticking your baking sheet back in the oven! ;)
The down side is I discovered that many of my items are not magnetic. If you don't have very many magnet items, the product is probably not worth it, as it just becomes another trivet. I would test your pots/pans/sheets with a magnet prior to buying to make sure it will be useful.
Also, because it sits high off of your table (about an inch) if you are using the trivet with a large item such as a baking sheet, it is much nicer to have 2 trivets underneath so the baking sheet is stabilized.
All in all, I'm glad to have the product.

(More customer reviews)This is one versatile piece of cutlery. I appreciate the sturdiness of it, which makes it nice for handling a lasagna or other 'heavy' casserole. I originally bought it to slice and serve desserts, and it works perfectly for that purpose. I didn't expect to use it as often as I do, though. Being able to slice a dish, then flip it over and serve with it, is very convenient, and the cutting edge is sharp enough to make clean slice without having to saw through you food. This makes for cleaner, prettier portions. Great idea!

Kuhn Rikon 11-1/2-Inch Chef's Tongs Review

(More customer reviews)These feel nice in your hands and have a great tension in the handle. Since these are metal, don't use them with nonstick or enamel cookware.
I use these only for handling meat, such as chicken breast, drumsticks, etc. They are especially useful when you try to grab thin strips of bacon (especially if you're used to using a bacon press to make bacon very flat).
The build quality seems up there and I suspect these will last many years. I own three pairs of tongs, and all are Kuhn Rikon. The other tongs are the 11 inch "Kuhn Rikon Silicone Tongs" (which have the same shape as these) and the "Kuhn Rikon 12-Inch Silicone Tongs" (which have an angled grabbing end. You can search for these on amazon by using what I wrote in quotations as your search.
Keep in mind, that although the design is from Europe, these tongs are manufactured in China.
I would buy this again and also feel comfortable giving this as a small gift to someone.

Cuisipro Food Decorating Pen Review

(More customer reviews)I've tried this with ganache and icing and have not had any more control than with a piping bag--and I hate those! If it's thin enough to suck into the container, it's too thin. Plus I get air bubbles. I've found the Wilton bottles with tips are much more effective. Note: I am not good at piping so I need all the help I can get. I was hoping this would help, but unfortunately for me this is a bust.
