(More customer reviews)These mitts are nicely made with good materials, easy to slip on and likely won't show the dirt and wear as quickly as more decorative mitts. It takes a bit of practice to gain control over gripping, as the protective pads are not at the gripping edge and tend to get in the way. It is a bit like trying to pick up a dime with a pillow. That said, they are very good at protecting from heat when diving into an oven or over a hot surface, especially to pick up something heavy. For getting to a hot handle that requires finer control, a second pot holder or mitt would be a good idea. Overall, very pleased with this choice.
