Average Reviews:

I bought these knives to give them a try since I saw Guy Fieri (real name "Guy Ferry") on Food Network.
They are passable in overall quality, but definitely not more than $30. If you want knives of equal quality, go down to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and buy some Cuisinart German-style knives for this price or slightly better quality Calphalon German-style knives.
My mainstay knives are Shun Classic and some Wusthof knives. I should have saved my money and bought one of these. I also own a few Cuisinart knives that I use for rough jobs (cutting through bone, boning, etc.), so that the fine edges of the higher-end knives I own are preserved.
Save your money, live without the gimmicky handles, goofy blade shapes, and buy a decent German or Japanese knife.

Pure Komachi 2 AB5064 6-1/2-Inch Hollow-Ground Santoku Knife Review

Average Reviews:

I was a little leary about buying this knife but I figured if I didn't like it I could give it away. Cooking one of my favorite dishes I decided to give this knife a try. I was amazed just how sharp this knife was, I mean razor sharp and you better know how to handle a knife otherwise you will be loosing fingers. It cut through everyting like butter and shaves razor thin. I'd buy another in a heartbeat, different color. A razor sharp knife.

A multipurpose knife ideal for slicing, chopping, and mincing, the hollow-ground edge of the Santoku helps reduce friction for easy slicing and releasing of food from the blade. The bold, bright blade color is achieved by bonding food-safe, FDA-approved resin to a high-carbon stainless-steel blade. A high-carbon blade retains a super-sharp edge over extended use, and the non-stick coating resists corrosion, makes cleaning simple, and helps the knife glide through food with ease. The handle is lightweight and ergonomically contoured for a comfortable, fatigue-reducing grip. Incredibly sharp and decidedly attention-getting, Pure Komachi 2 knives make a delightful addition to any kitchen. They are dishwasher safe and cover a useful range, with open-stock pieces as well as handy and versatile sets.

Kuhn Rikon SoftEdge Cooks' Spoon Review

Kuhn Rikon SoftEdge Cooks' Spoon
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Overall this spoon is exactly what I needed. I've made a big investment in my cookware and while I never felt the plain teflon spoons were sturdy enough for me to feel comfortable loading them up, I didn't want to chance scratching the cookware's surface with a metal spoon. This seems to combine the best of both worlds. Having said that, the handle is just a little (very little) too long - it has to fit into the top rack of the dishwasher, so it doesn't cut off the water shower. The dishwasher is a must for this, as the edge bridging spoon and teflon has a definite lip and some attention has to be paid to cleaning the food bits out of the lip.

Kuhn Rikon Nonstick 4-Inch Paring Knife, Periwinkle Review

Kuhn Rikon Nonstick 4-Inch Paring Knife, Periwinkle
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Kuhn Rikon Nonstick Paring Knife is a very good value for a quality knife. We own several of these knives in different colors for use at home and in our shop. The different colors allow us keep the ones we use to cut materials in our workshop from accidently being used for food products.
The blade is *VERY* sharp and holds it's edge very nicely. The nonstick coating on the blade is a real plus as it helps to keep the knife clean as well as to keep it moving through thicker items. The snug fitting platic sheath is a welcome addition to safely store or transport the knife.
My only complaint is the light feel of the plastic handle. It isn't flimsy exactly, just lacks heft. This might just be a personal prefference issue and it hasn't stopped me from buying more of them.
Overall this is a very good paring knife at a reasonable price. Recommended!

I really wanted to like this glove because it looked nice and had a good gripper on the underside, however, we had to get rid of it because of its poor design. The glove is too bulky and it is extremely difficult to pick anything up with it.

These salad tongs are very flimsy. The handles are thin plastic and the tongs themselves are too flexible to pick up much of anything. I definitely feel that I paid too much for what they are.

Pure Komachi 2 AB5066 Series 8-Inch Chef's Knife Review

Pure Komachi 2 AB5066 Series 8-Inch Chef's Knife
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a versatile knife that I use from carving meat to slicing vegetables. The blade is very thin, so if you're looking for a knife to cut through bones or a whole pumpkin, this may not be the best knife, but it'll easily slice paper thin garlic and mince shallots. The curved blade works great for chopping herbs and the sharp tip allows precise control over carving meat and fish.
I've been using this knife everyday for about 4 months now, and the blade is not showing any signs of dullness. I am planning on getting other series from this line.

A colorful take on the traditional centerpiece of your kitchen's knife set, the 8-inch chef's knife from the Pure Komachi 2 is designed for chopping, mincing, slicing, and dicing. Kuhn Rikon Silicone Brush, Red Review

Kuhn Rikon Silicone Brush, Red

Works good on spreading oil on a heated pan. The brush, being silicone fibers, stands up to the reputation of silicone and doesn't 'melt' or the oil or vegetable spread does not coagulate on the fibers, the brush remaining flexible. EZ cleanup too!

KUHN RIKON 2805 Review

KUHN RIKON 2805
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'd seen these Kuhn Rikon knives recommended, and finding them at a discount picked up a couple of paring knives in this style ("Paring Knife Colori" on the package), and one of the slightly larger utility in a different style ("Nonstick ...."). The blades on both are nicely sharp, and they function well. Plus, the nicely designed sheaths make them attractive for camping, and they are even a nice backpacking weight.
HOWEVER .... I would warn you away from this simpler style, with a single-colored handle. That handle is smooth plastic, overly slick even when dry and I'm sure even more so when covered with peach juice, say. Further, there is not adequate contouring of the handle, little to keep your fingers off the blade or ensure a good grip. Especially with a blade this sharp, you don't want to end up grasping the wrong end!
Instead, I'd urge you to get one of the slightly more expensive "Nonstick" line. This has a handle with a textured surface and a nice contour that ensures a firm grip. The description is confusing, because all the knives are nonstick coated, and Amazon refers to all of them as 'nonstick', applying the term 'colori' to the ones I'm talking about (though Kuhn Riko calls them all 'colori'). Go by appearance ... the ones you want have a more obvious hand grip look to them, and the handle is two tone, with white where your fingers grip. Kuhn Rikon Colori Nonstick Paring Knife, Blue

Kuhn Rikon 3-Piece Quick Slice Mandoline Set Review

Kuhn Rikon 3-Piece Quick Slice Mandoline Set
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I ordered this product because I was looking for a mandoline that wouldn't take up much space. This is great because it fits in a small drawer. I used it the other day to slice potatoes, and it worked very well. Be sure you use the finger guard, though. As with most mandolines, it is very easy to cut yourself if you're not careful. The only downside to this product is that it only does julienne or 1/8-in slices. Most madolines are adjustable and allow you to make slices of different thickness. But those also take up more space, so if you have a smaller kitchen, I highly recommend this product.

Two great tools that help you create great tastes together, this special two-piece slicer package from Kuhn Rikon includes the basic Quick Slice Manodline and the Quick Slice Julienne Mandoline--both in black and each including a hand guard for safety. The Quick Slice Manodline has a double-edged, stainless steel blade that reduces just about any fruit or vegetable--from potatoes and carrots to citrus fruits--to perfect 1/8-inch slices in the blink of an eye. The double-edged Quick Slice Julienne Mandoline creates perfectly uniform 1/8-inch matchstick slices for restaurant-style presentations. It's great for creating shoestring potatoes, grating hard cheeses, and dressing up desserts with chocolate, lemon or orange zest.
The hand guards keep fingers away from blades and double as blade protector for storage. Both Mandolines have rubber nonslip feet and a notch for bowl rims to keep them securely in place whether used on counters or on top of bowls. They also have a soft-grip, nonslip handle with a hole for hanging. They're dishwasher safe (place on the upper shelf).

Kuhn Rikon Barbeque Silicone Tongs Review

Kuhn Rikon Barbeque Silicone Tongs
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I debated for a while getting this 15" long Kuhn Rikon tong or their chop stick like shorter 11" tong. I think either would have served me well, but the 15" is still slender enough to use like chop sticks, and the large flared square inch end clamps flat, to help distribute the weight so you won't crush delicate shrimp or potatoes wedges when you turn them. I felt the 15" would give me the additional muscle I may need during the summer while turning quarter chickens or large steaks during an outdoor BBQ's, and is just wide enough to flip burgers.
unlike some Kuhn Rikon silicon utensils which I found too flopsy, this one is steel spine reinforced within a few millimeters of the edge. unlike other brands of silicon tongs, this is completely coated in silicon, so there won't be grime building up on any material transition seam, or will I need to panic when I lay these tongs against the rim of a hot wok. I don't think I could lean an 11" tong against my wok rim without fear of it falling in and needing a second tong just to fish it out, so in my case one $18 tong was cheaper then two $12 tongs - hehehe.

Kuhn Rikon Original Swiss Peeler, Kiwi Green Review

Kuhn Rikon Original Swiss Peeler, Kiwi Green
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Before getting these slingshot shaped peelers, I was totally committed to my straight design, specifically the excellent Oxo Good Grips model with which I can whittle off the skin of an apple or spud with a single uninterrupted stroke, giving a single ribbon easy to chuck into the trash.
But, my cook tool hero Alton Brown stated that the Y shape is useful for some applications, so who was I to be so fussy as to turn down a chance to try these cheap models.
The single very best thing about these peelers is that their blades are very sharp. This means they will work well even on things which are commonly difficult to peel. I tried one on the skin of a relatively hard peach and the little fellow had the fruit skinless in a thrice. I then tried it on a carrot and found that not only did it do an excellent job, it worked even better than my favorite Good Grips due to the suitablity of the peeler shape to multiple strokes in the same direction.
The one thing I did not like about these peelers is the fact that they are so light. It feels like they can snag on a particularly strong potato eye and slip right out of your hand. I am really surprised that neither OXO nor Kuhn Rikon have come up with a design which uses replaceable blades. This gives the advantages of cheap replacement with a good, heavy handle.
But, comparing price to performance, this product is a winner.
