I was trying to decide between 3 different scrubbers before i happened to stumble upon this one on amazon. I tend to research everything into the ground, including sub $10 scrubbing brushes...sometimes i'm surprised i'm able to get anything done. anyway, moving on.
I needed a scrubber that would not mar up the non-stick cookware i own. I've been starting to get some carbon buildup on the outer sides of the pan where i missed a bit here and there and on the inside of the pan where the rivets are not coated with non-stick goodness.
The requirements:
-a knobby or short-handled brush to maximize the applied force
-mesh or dense matting that would clean stuff a bristle brush can't handle
-teflon safe
-not pink
-at least makes an attempt to be environmentally responsible
This scrubber featured here is designed for use with non-stick pans, includes a scraping edge for the really nasty bits, has eco-friendly replaceable heads, and comes in 3 color options all of which are not pink.
the grip really made an impression. it's not your typical awkward round handle that looks like a bunch of bristles stuck to the bottom of the shift knob from a 72 volkswagon. This thing has a weighty angled top with an ergonomic slant toward the base that is quite comfortable in the hand. I'm a guy and the grip accommodates me quite well, my wife has typical small womanly hands and she also commented on how unusually comfortable it is. furthermore, the grip is slightly textured and holds fast in your hands even when soapy.
I own another item of this same brand which is a silicone coated whisk which i also found quite pleasing. It's rainbow colored though(including pink)...and still i gave it five stars.
at any rate, if you're still reading you might as well just buy the scrubber. You wasted all this time reading a review when you could have been cleaning something. The prime eligible shipping was also a bonus, free 2 day shipping. yay!
