One potential problem is that it takes a bit of space in the drawer for those with small kitchens (like me), but I put it handle down in one of those beautiful Le Creuset pitchers (also available through Amazon). Problem solved. I have used it for protein skimming in braising and boiling, and also discovered it works well for poaching eggs if you prefer the free water bath method like me! Enjoy.
