For example, pan-seared shrimp with their ultra-short cooking time must be removed quickly to avoid overcooking. These Kuhn Rikon tongs allow you to turn or remove multiple shrimp in one pickup. Likewise with baked/broiled asparagus on a sheet pan multiple pieces can be removed at once without damaging their fragile skin. Don't throw the regular tongs away, but having the right tool for the job makes cooking more enjoyable. Also, the rounded wire is easy wear on non-stick cookware surfaces.
